the 49th running of the mah-kee-nac invitational brought together some of the finest tennis players in the berkshires. for the second consecutive year, the mah-kee-nac team fell one victory short of the championship, having to settle for the runner's up trophy. mkn did take home top honors in an all mkn seneca doubles final where robbie coleman and aiden rutman defeated chase stenberg and evan trock. spencer wepman swept the lsr singles draw for his first tournament trophy win and justin boder and drew bender took home second in a well fought, spirited match in the cherokee doubles final. all in all a great event, congratulations to all the players.

after qualifying in dramatic fashion through the round robin stage of the event, then bussing past the best sixteen teams in the single elimination format, we congratulate this year's champions jonathon shore, nolan weilenman, and lsr tribal head kieran millward. not only did they play with great intensity but they held true to the tournament founder dan davies's words, "if you play with a smile on your face, you'll never be far from the top."
