Our last tournament of session one was today, when the rising 8thgraders played basketball at home.  All the games were very close, and Andrew Badt scored over 30 points in one game!

We also attended a unique cooking competition at Watitoh, and the boys came in first place and won a trophy! Congrats (and get ready to cook at home) to Zachary Silverstein, Ryan Bloom, Gus Graf, Alexander Jacoby, Lucas Trokel, Jacob Landis, Jonas Brohn, Marco Andrade, Asher Signman-Wender and Eli Resnick!

Most of the day was dedicated to practicing the for the evening’s camp sing as well as each age group making their plaques.

In the afternoon, we switched to a hot day schedule due to the high heat. TJC (including Mini Mak), LSR, & USR rotated between the Waterfront, Swimming Pool or Ropes.

Evening activity was the big sing and closing ceremonies. Each tribe (divided by age group, not bunk) picked a song and changed the lyrics to be camp related. They had one week to practice, and each song can only be one minute long. The big winners were Mohican for TJC (singing to “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers), and Algonquin for upper camp, singing to “Take Me Home, Country Road” by John Denver).
