  • Breakfast: Breakfast sandwiches, sausage, hash browns.

  • Lunch: Chicken nuggets and fries.

  • Dinner: Cookout.

Friday was mostly a transition day. The four-weekers headed back home (there were some sad faces and tears, but we know the parents were all smiles), the second-session kids arrived, and the Mini-Mak arrived. Reminder: Mini-Mak is a one-week program for young, first-time campers, to get them used to the idea of sleep away camp.

The day ended with our traditional Friday night huddle which was, appropriately, about shared pride.

Saturday was back to business as usual, although it was a very hot day (as everyone in the Northeast has seen!). After lunch, when the heat hit its max, we went into "hot day schedules."

TJC went to the lake to cool off, then did indoor activities - what we call a "choice" of games. USR went to the pool, and then the lake - preferring to remain water rats all day. And USR went to the field house for "choice," then they hit the pool.

Mini max enjoyed their first full day at camp. They learned how the regular programming works in the morning, then they joined TJC for the hot day afternoon schedule.

Luckily, when the sun went down, the air cooled off. TJC played dodgeball for the evening, LSR played masters, and USR had a "slide and swim" at the lake.
