It was a weekend in the lake. After Saturday's successful Polar Plunge came Sunday's lake swim. Many excited kids were up to the task of swimming 3/4th of a mile in the chilly lake. It's always a fun activity and great to see the boys work hard and accomplish the challenge.

We had a normal morning of programming, getting in as much outdoor activity as possible before the rain comes in. That seems to be the new routine of our Berkshires-meets-Seattle weather.

The camp has been pretty pumped up about all that's happening in the soccer world, so after rest hour, TJC and LSR got to watch part of the England v Italy game. If you didn't see it, the game was a nail biter and came down to penalty kicks! Italy took the trophy - our English counselors were devastated (Sorry Jude, Tobey and Conner!) Stephan, our counselor from Scotland, is used to rooting against England, so he delighted in their loss.

We had leagues in the afternoon - soccer for USR, Basketball for TJC and LSR.
Senecas have been practicing their fire building to prepare for Green & White - the grand finale of our "color war" week is a huge rope burn, where the Senecas have to build and nurse a fire to burn a large, hanging rope. First one to finish is the big winner. The whole camp watches and it's an intense, exciting, and spectacular event that the Sencas take very seriously!

Evening activity was a really. big. deal (for some). The Cherokees - one of our upper senior bunks, got to have a social at our sister camp Danbee. So, they were able to have a night off campus AND see girls. The other two upper senior bunks Algonquin and Seneca, hosted the ladies here. Needless to say, we had a lot of happy campers after seeing some new faces!

Meanwhile, TJC watched "Inside Out" in Kruger Hall while LSR watched Moana. Don't worry guys, you'll have your day in the sun soon enough...
