This morning was our first big Lake Swim of the summer. It was available to any LSR, USR or staff who wanted to participate.  The swim is a great challenge - nearly 3/4 of a mile across "The Bowl".

And this year, it was also for a good cause. MKN partnered with SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education), whose mission is to provide children from financially disadvantaged families with access to attend nonprofit, ACA-accredited, overnight camps. For every camper that participates in one of the two lake swims this summer, whether that be swimming or just cheering on friends down by the lake, Camp Mah-Kee-Nac will be donating to SCOPE. So, the kids can participate in, and see the importance of, giving back - no matter what their role is in the swim!

Football leagues kicked off for TJC and for B8 (those entering 8th grade. Also known as Cheyenne. Otherwise, we had a regular day of programming on another gorgeous day.

The evening welcomed a social with Danbee for LSR, while TJC played kickball and USR played campus games. ​
