We had a beautiful and busy day here at MKN.

The boys going into 8th grade had a baseball tournament in the morning while the rest of camp enjoyed the sunny weather.

Lunch was a wonderful meal of reconnection with our sister camp, Danbee. All of those with relatives between our two camps were able to meet over the lake to Camp Danbee and enjoy brother-sister lunch together.

Later in the day was our big annual Stockbridge Marathon. Anyone who wants to participate is allowed to do so, and this year we had many, many kids lace up to run. The course is 1.7 miles - up and down hills, through the trees, jumping over roots and more. It's not an easy course, but the kids do it with smiles and, of course, some intensity.

We also had a "walking club" of 28 kids who wanted to do the Marathon, stretch their legs and laugh with their friends, but preferred to walk the course instead of run (i.e. more time laughing and walking with their pals). We even had some speed walkers!

Meanwhile, our littlest guys - the Sioux - got to enjoy a leisurely boat ride around the lake.

Evening activity was our weekly Friday night huddle, where Jamie talks to the boys about important topics like respect, friendship, and sportsmanship. After huddle, the kids got free "campus time". Campus time also happens each day and is free time to play outside within your campus (TJC/LSR/USR). The boys can play basketball, GAGA, baseball, ping pong, or just chill and chat, as long as it's outside.

To our Stockbridge Marathon runners + walkers. It's not an easy course, and they do it in combination with their other activities!
