Today started with some big excitement, as the campers learned what team they're on for Founder's Cup.  There are four teams - Lilly, Metzger, Rudholf, Kruger. Each camper was drafted to match with their perfect team, and this morning, every name was announced as kids were welcomed by their new "family" who they'll compete alongside for the next few weeks.

We were able to squeeze in the first two periods today before the rain hit.   Cross country ran all over campus, Trampball was very popular (as always), but the dedicated Fitness squad lifted weights to train for the Founder's Cup!

Once we moved into rainy day schedule, the youngsters from TJC got to watch Into the Spiderverse while the older kids played basketball in the field house.

Evening activity was all about Founder's Cup. A little rain cannot stop these Gladiators! The first event was called "FROMA," and started with the kids separated into their teams by their age groups. They had to run a lap around the circle of other campers, and crawl under their whole teams' legs to get to the back, before the next person could take off. After the entire line ran their lap, the last person - a Seneca - had to run over a cold tub of wet shirts, untangle them, and put them on.

It was exciting, fast-paced, intense and the kids loved! The slipping and sliding and mud made it all the more fun.

At the end of the relay race, Team Rudolph was the big winner.

The next activity was called "Polar Opposites". The kids had to work together to hold up a Plastic PVC pipe while our special events director Greg called out left or right. The campers had to listen hard and work as a team to keep the pipe standing and switch directions quickly enough so the pipe didn't fall. This time, Rudolf took first place.

To all of the counselors, who are using their creativity to make camp as fun as ever even in rainy weather!
