We had a great first full day at MKN! Another bright and sunny day lent itself perfectly to the regular scheduling. Campers were introduced to their first rotation of daily activities - everything from pool time to kickboxing to woodshop, basketball, baseball, and more.
And of course, lots and lots of lake play.
Leagues were started for LSR (lower seniors) today. The leagues are for kids who want to compete in a specific sport - both inter-camp and against other camps. Today's draft was for basketball. If you don't know the way the bunks and ages groups are set up - check out our campus cheat sheet for help; you'll be hearing a lot about these groups.
Each campus had their own evening activity. TJC (junior camp) -made their bunk flags - check out companion for bunk photos coming soon! Lower seniors played "world records" whereby the bunks worked together to compete in 12 different stations of world record feats such as how many times they could flip a cup in two minutes or how many three-point basketball shots they could sink. Upper seniors had a fun pool party filled with splashes and laughs. At the end of the evening, the whole camp came back together for a big ice cream party!
To all the staff at every station for a successful and fun full day of activities!
