PRE-CAMP!

​All of the staff here at MKN have been hard at work getting our beautiful campus prepared for camp. And they did it in record-breaking heat!

We held a mock training program from the hill to the waterfront. Counselors worked on their running, their lifeguarding skills, and their having-tons-of-fun techniques. 

Then they tapped in their crafty side and made welcome posters for all of the bunks.

As afternoon arrived, so did our campers that were flying in from far and away - from Florida to Chicago to California and everywhere in between.  Upon arrival, the campers met their bunk counselors and both received (new campers) and gave (old campers) tours of the camp.

Then, of course it was game time - Tramp Ball, GAGA, basketball and the like.

For anyone new here, Tramp Ball is something you'll here a LOT about. It's like dodgeball meets tennis meets trampoline-ing. You'll see it on visiting day... it's intense competition and the favorite sport for most of our campers.

For evening activity, the TJC and LSR campers played board games, while USR played Tramp Ball. 

Can't wait until tomrorow, when we'll all be together!
