Today was the third and final day of the Olympics! We started the day with Polar Bear, where every team had to come up with some sort of skit and chant before jumping in the lake at 7am.
After breakfast, we had our final morning events. TJC had a basketball tournament, a watermelon tournament, and heptathlon. LSR had an ultimate frisbee tournament and a soccer tournament. USR had a track meet. After this, all teams met at USR tennis courts for the decathlete dash, as well as the head coach, assistant coach, and marquee manager sprint. After lunch, we had the grand marathon, which is a massive relay race with 38 stations. There were many stations, but to list a few of them, there was a wheelbarrow run(where head coaches had to act as a wheelbarrow while assistant coaches held their legs and walked them), getting a volleyball overhand serve in, archery, a three-legged race, eating a jelly sandwich, and much much more. After the grand marathon, teams had 2 and a half hours to prepare their team banners, cheers, and songs.
Dinner was served by all of the head coaches. After dinner, everyone went over to the field house for the closing ceremony. Here, everyone showed off their banners, showed off their cheers, and sang their songs. Greece had a spectacular showing with their rendition of "Grease Lightning".
After each team went (including Team O), Jamie and Rachel revealed the winners of the Joe Kruger Commendation Award, which was 1 TJC, 1 LSR and 1 USR on each team.
The results of the Decathlon were also revealed, with the top three as follows:
1. Nick Dirico (Greece),
2. Max Manuel (Japan),
