THE NEWS

Today was the final day of Olympics, and what a day it was. 

We started with the all-team Polar Bear plunge. Yup, they all had to get up early and jump into the brisk lake! But, the water temp was 72 degrees, so it wasn't all that brisk. 
Then, we had the World Cup soccer tournament, which worked well with the Olympic theme since every team is already a country. 
The rest of the day included Fitness challenges, a Hockey competition, track meet events, a golf-esque competition and The Grand Marathon - every member of every team has to participate, and the order & organization is a bit part of the strategy.
The teams then had time to practice their chants and songs and work on their banner before they had the big presentation.
Evening activity was the performance of their original team chant and songs - and of, course, their banners. We're always so impressed with the creativity of these kids on their banners - from the art to the punks. Examples included:

After all points were tallied and the competitions were scored, the big winner of this year's Olympics were...

COSTA RICA! 

• Breakfast - açaí bowl, sausage, eggs, potatoes

• Lunch - grilled cheese and tater tots 

• Dinner - chinese food
