Green & White has broken out! Green & White has broken out! Our version of 'color war' has officially begun.

​But before that happened, we had a normal day...

B4 had a baseball tournament and we didn't win, but everyone played hard! B8 had Flag Football at Pontiac and did great! 
The rest of camp went on with regularly scheduled program. Senecas worked on their fire building skills, knowing G&W was soon to come and they played some volleyball with each other. We had a brief rain interruption around 4:30pm with some possibility of a storm, but it passed. 
After that, the kids lined up for flag lowering - having no idea what was about to happen. Right after flag lowering, Chaos erupted!! The field was flooded with music, in the form of bagpipe players followed by plumes of Green & White smoke. Then, fire performers came and put on an amazing show. Clearly, Green & White was breaking out and the excitement was extreme, as always.

The teams then broke off into their separate groups to discuss the first event. It was like a treasure hunt - 500 flags had been placed around campus, and the first team to bring back 400 flags won. After a fierce race, White pulled out the victory for this event.

Then, we moved over to the volleyball court, where we unveiled our special guests - Jaidin Russell and David Decker from the UCLA volleyball team! So, we set up for an intense game of evening volleyball under the lights. Each team was made up of four Senecas, one staff member, and one UCLA volleyball player. They were playing the best of three games. The first game went to White, the second game went to Green, and then the third and final match, which was VERY close, ended up going to White in the end.
