WHAT'D WE DO WEDNESDAY?
AUGUST 2, 2017
It was one of the greatest days of the summer here at MKN! It was "Big Trip Day". When our older campers loaded the buses for their overnight trips, tJC loaded their own bus for the Connecticut Science Center for some experimentation, creativity, and discovery. The boys explored the 5 levels of the science center before we breaking for lunch. Highlights included building and racing cars, mixing audio in a sound studio, improving technique in the sports training area, and many more. It was described by most as "awesome" and "super fun". After lunch outside, they went back inside for the 3D Great White Shark movie. Much to their surprise, The Juniors learned that great white sharks are not the Bloodthirsty killers that they believed, they learned that sharks are misunderstood creatures, and they need to be protected. After the credits rolled, the boys went into the gift shop and bought fun new items, which included lava lamps, hoodies, and balls of electricity. The campers and staff then got back on the bus and headed back to camp. There the directors handed out a special ice cream treat to everybody. TJC then headed into Kruger Lodge to watch "Kung Fu Panda 3". After finishing the film and dinner in the Dining Hall, there was a pool party and everyone had a great time swimming, playing pool basketball, and hanging out as a community.
